Thanks, all! I'd say the bloom is 6-8" in diameter. A bright pink tonight! Photos in a few minutes on the photoblog. :)

Thanks, ladies! It is a wonderful place to visit!

I was most impressed by the pool of ISGs. Added a new blog post about those yesterday and still have Victoria and Australian lilies to post about.  :)

And I just added quite a few photos of ISGs from the International Waterlily Collection Lilyfest to my blog. More to come...

I just set my lotus express plants on top of the soil in some large pots. Mine were "potted" (really just dropped in) four weeks ago and have buds. Good luck!

Hi Kat, I brought my grandma to your house a year or two ago. She loves water gardening, but is so nervous about screwing something up. I suspect that people are either worried about killing their investment or are just too lazy! I'm always floored by how 95% of my neighbors have a yard service....we're DIY all the way! :)

I love Waters Edge. It may have been one of the first pond stores I ever went to. Congratulations again!

We used to keep loaches in an aquarium, they're really fun fish. But like Kat said, it would be tough to get them out of a 6000 gallon pond as the water temp drops in the fall. Well, maybe not too much cause they'd probably end up being like 12" long by the end of a summer!! We'll try the goldfish for now.... :)

We have tons of snails in our pond probably because the haven't had many or any predators. They certainly came from plants or just showed up on their own. I find huge ones on the bottoms of lily pads and lily pad stems all the time, plus the skimmer basket and a pre-pump basket. There are way too many. I assume fish will eat the eggs - perhaps a real snail guru can chime in and educate all of us! :)

It's just under $30 at ewaterlily... I know Kat has the lily as well, you might check with her to see when she'll have it available. :)

Congratulations on the upcoming wedding!

Hi Anne,

It warmed up too fast this year for me to divide any of my plants. There are two places for Wanvisa that I know of - probably more.

Just got a new blog post up. Kat, I forgot about one other smaller lily that just bloomed. You probably have it, but if not, are you interested in Walter Pagels?

I have a little Helvola that is blooming constantly. At least 4-5 blooms at a time. Love it! For intense color, I just bought an Andreana from Kat - very pretty and love the wide petal shape.

I have a very "weedy" Red Indian Goddess that I would like to trade. Marginals, hostas, or you name it. Please PM me if interested.

Thanks!
