thanks for that richard......the members there are scattered about all over england and use different dealers at the moment the biggest one over there is Richdon koi who seems to have taken over the market importing from japan..my personal dealer was Alan levington from Watercolours koi who sadly died a couple of years ago i struggle to find anyone else to put my faith into after trading with him for  some time

took these yesterday looks like the majority of them are going to be kohakus see the hi coming through on lots of them plus quite a few with tancho markings moving some of them into their new tanks tommorow which I am dreading they seem so fragile little things..

is it an air pump  because you mention airation if so it might just be a split diaphragm..if its a diaphragm pump of course

this the most ugliest fish I have ever owned she is as  wide as she is long (kujaku) and has a swimbladder problem she has to come inside in the winter but she struggles on reminds me  of the mother - in-law a bit ;D my lillies come no where near up to your standards we only have the very hardy type  but I think they look nice and the koi love to swim in and out of them

I thought the answer was the first bit of kit brought out to fit onto a vortex befroe the nexus was designed they then brought out the nexus and foam then brought out the eazy to replace both I suppose you get the added extra bio filtration with the eazy

so what do you reckon of the EA POD all that is is an eazy with  no fluidised at all ..

i wouldnt class it as a downgrade to be honest every one over here have ditched the answer and gone for the easy but each to their own I guess i dont have either :)

thats why the water looks great good piece of kit the nexus and answer but have you thought about converting it to take the Eazy for mechanical filtration cheaper to run and easy to keep clean ..

I reall like the tancho in the picture do you add anything to the water like virasure or virkon or is it purely your water changes that keep the water sparkling what filtration system do you have on the pond?

not much in my inside pond but the small outside one sees some life......

27
I use a big pan net to net mine ..one thing to try is leave the net in the pond overnight the fish do get used to it and are not scared by it the next day I have seen fish just sat in them next morning.....

Pond Chat / Re: Sweaty Fish - Deodorant? Help!!
« on: July 19, 2007, 11:20:43 PM »
as  already menioned it is definately a lack of oxygen you need an air pump and airstones going in the pond all the time I have 4 airpumps giving out 250 liters of air a minute into my pond and filters 24/7.......also dont forget for those filtering the pond the filter bacteria need to use oxygen too so they too may be suffering
