 I am in baton rouge louisiana which is 80 miles from new orleans and 1.5 hrs from biloxi and it looks like we are going to get hit really hard                :'(   ....i am preparing best i can but i have 8 cats and a dog and a son and we r staying in my mobile home until it gets bad then we are going to my neighbors in a house (all of us) but pray for us all and hope we will be on here when its all over.....thanks    lorraine

Koi Corner / single koi alienating himself

Hi guys i have a 5 inch koi that keeps hiding behind a plant pot away from anyone else.i netted him to see if any physical signs and yes i held my breath but no signs on him...he will swim with fish when they come to the other side of the pond but won't come with the other fish to eat or school with them away from the pot area...any ideas whats wrong with him???  lorraine

I just want to say thanks for the members that sell all the plants and give away free plants and supplies to other members....without you we would know less and have less.......i have learned soo much from all the members here and i feel everone is concerned about each other and wants to see all the members with HAPPY PONDS ...so kat,lawanna,kuan,rick and others...keep it up and i will buy and trade next year.........................lorraine :-)what am i saying i'm still trying to get stuff.............and keep feeding me info i love it and my pond kids do too....

Koi Corner / lost 3 koi

I just lost 3 big koi .... :'( this is the second time in a couple years.....both times it rained for days....they were fine when i went out this am ....no marks on them at all....i was in between cleaning my filter but they go all winter w/o pump so do u think its the PH changed too rapidly due to rain????? HELP !!!!  lorraine

Pond Water Quality / lost 3 koi in pond after 1 yr

Hi this is the second time this has happened afte a large rain for several days....a couple years ago i lost 2 huge koi and i just went out to the pond and 3 of my largest koi were dead...no marks nothing just alot of rain in several days...could it be the ph being changed to rapidly.I  have 1 left..I am to the point they are beautiful but much too sensitive for outside ponds....i think goldfish will be my main fish from now on...any comments or knowledge would be helpful.....lorraine :'(

Hi everyone this is Lorraine....I have so much lettuce,hyacinth and hornsworth that i burn it every weekend...here in louisiana it loves the heat so it grows....I will sell 100 hornsworth for $15.00 plus shipping.....water lettuce $2.00 each plus shipping and hyacinth $2.00 each plus shipping  i also have pics of pickerel (purple) for 8.00 plus s & h or canna lily's for 8.00 plus s & h and egyptian palm for 8.00 plus s & h...  and cat tails 8.00 plus s & h or i will trade for a night bloomer,duckweed,or fairymoss....  or other plants....................thanks i have posted pics of the plants......

              I  just got a new toy for my fish its a self feeder i love it i saw a video of them pulling on the rope at the bottom and the food drops down....PERFECT WHEN I GO ON VACATION.........................http://www.waterscapesofindiana.com/kichikoi.htm...u have to type it in this way in your search engine then u go to the site then click on the  feeder .  if u would like one that is made privately and is cheaper  priced let me know and i will tell u how much and order u one and send it to u.......lorraine...OH i just went to lowes and bought a wood mailbox post with arm and cut it down  (it was 25.00) woohoo cheap huh????




And this windmill is another toy for me i just got....solar powered at night the windows light up like someone is living inside...i love it......lorraine
