Pond Chat / cloudy water
« on: August 12, 2010, 07:38:40 AM »
Help!
My water has always been crystal clear and two days ago it started to get cloudy
I have bio filter and have cleaned the filters in skimmer

It has been really hot here for a week or so maybe that is problem?
I add water not too much to it but  I have been doing that and never changed anything
I tested the Ph 7.8 ammonia is 0 and nitrate 0
What should I use to clear it up any suggestions?
Thanks Donna

Pond Chat / Help with algae
« on: October 05, 2009, 02:15:32 PM »
New to closing the pond down. I had a really bad string algae problem when i opened pond in spring, so I have been using algaeflx  weekly.
It is starting to get cold now and don't know if it will be ok to stop. What do I put in for the winter. Pond is 18x33 and i have a waterfall. I have a bio filter and I thought maybe i cleaned the filter stuff too much? Any suggestions??When  do I stop feeding the fish? They seem pretty hungry still.
Thanks Donna
