Esther here is my big asagi she was a gift last year at the Louisville koi show from a friend about 28" then closer to 30 now, 2nd picture is my long fin asagi 3rd picture is my gift this year at the Louisville show 21 inches.The ones in bowls were give to me at the Louisville show last year. The pond shots have some of my others.

I made a quilt for the Louisville Koi and Goldfish club for their show next weekend, they will have it up for auction Esther ask me if I posted it here so Here are the pictures of it.

We have her in a contest on a local Radio station called babies gone wild, you will have to vote now and when they have the finalist you will have to vote again. She is week 3 gallery 7 her name is Zada. You have to confirm in email for it to b counted.The winners picture will be on cover of Alabama baby Magazine. Please vote for her.

I made a round trip from Alabama to Louisville yesterday to pick up my asagi from Carrie's that I had to leave behind the weekend of the koi show. She made it home great and is doing wonderful.


I will try and get more pictures of her later in my pond.

I have found out that my daughter is going to have a girl, alot has went home and she is back home with us and doing great. Here are the pics. of the ultrasound.

My fish were feeling great at breakfast this morning. The white/pink lily I do not know what it is, it's about 2 ft. tall, first time for blooms in almost 4 years as a matter of fact I have 3 of them and did not know they would bloom. The daylily my neighbor gave to me I love the color.

Pond Chat / Several weekend photos

I have had a wonderful weekend and hope all of you have had the same. I have lots of pics. to share. The first two is a couple of fish that I bought from a local High School Agg. department 10 dollars each. The second set of pics. is of my new pond construction I am over the top about this since all the dirt I repeat all of the dirt is out. Next step is bottom drains and blocks. The next set of pics. is where we went to an Aquatic garden center in Birmingham Al. for supplies and took pics of their Koi. Last set is some of my roses that are blooming. Plus we planted a couple of Japanese maples hubby bought me we lucked up and found them for 15.00 each and they are about 2 foot tall. No pics of those yet.

Mayfield is recalling their turtle tracks icecream . They have put p-nuts instead of walnuts. This is very important and could be deadly for those with P-nut allergies. They said the batch with this has the code 4/11/08 on the carton.

Chit Chat / Prayers for hubbys friend

Hey everyone, I need to take a minute of your time and ask that you keep one of my hubbys friends in your thoughts and prayers. They build scaffold for a living and last night this guy was at work and someone above him dropped an 8ft. board many floors and it hit him in the head. Hubby did not find out until he got to work this morning and he is very upset and worried. The last he heard they are having to do emergency surgery to relive the pressure on his brain. So if you all don't mind just take a little second and say a little prayer and keep him and his family in your thoughts.

I just wanted to share with all of you that I have been married to my husband / bestfriend for 22 wonderful years today. He is out of state working but we will celebrate when he gets home. we did get to talk bright and early this morning though.

Pond Construction & Filtration / Second pond started

We have started digging our second pond. It is gonna be a little better than 10,000 gallons the first pond had no bottom drains big mistake so we will not make that mistake with this one and we hope to correct that after the new pond is done . With any luck we are just a few weeks away from adding water. Any advice you all have would be great. As you can see we got a ways down before we hit clay and so far we have been lucky and not hit any rocks.

Pond Chat / Shopping for my new liner

I have been looking around for my new liner every one local to me is giving me prices that range from 677. to about 800. I think they have lost their mind I can get one from justliners.com with freight shipping for 390. And it is a 45 mil epdm liner.I guess it pays to shop around.This past weekend I was able to get some nice 10" blocks for 1.00 each I will post pics. of those later Home depot wanted 1.50 each for 8" plain concrete blocks. The Atlanta koi club is having a koi auction in May and they are gonna have some supplies that members not longer need for sale as well, so I will be making the three hour trip for that and hopefully I will be able to get some other items I need. Then after the auction they are gonna have an overflow sale maybe some good deals on some nice koi.

 :(A shooting at Va. tech has 22 dead including the gunman. It is gonna be a sad day for alot of famlies my heart and prayers go out to their famlies.

Pond Chat / Look at my rock

My neighbor gave it to me her and her hubby use to travel all across the country and she would collect rocks on the trips . She had several of these so she gave the hubby and I one since we love rocks as well. It is gonna go on the new pond as a water spill way she also gave me one that looks tike a turtle shell fossiled in it no pics. of it yet. But her garden and pond looks great with all of the different styles of rocks in there. You should see the ones she has that has crystals comming from them. She is around her late 70's or 80 and she has a wonderful story for all of her rocks including the huge sea glass. I think she said she has had my rock around 30 or so years. She is a great lady and we are blessed to have her as a neighbor.Excuse the date I always mess that up till now and I have taken the date stamp from it

I am new here and just wanted to post some shots of my koi. The dates on some of the pics. are wrong all most all of the shots were taken within the past week. I have been reading alot here before my first post I see alot of names I know and alot I don't but you all seem like very nice people and I look foward to getting to know you.
