i put stuff away to find it 1 yr later ... i bought bangkok some lotus seeds...pink plena....i just refound them....i have 10..they came with a phytosanitary certificate from dept. of agriculture (??????)  and instructions on how to plant....i looked them up and they are quite beautiful...it says to talk to them that the carbon dioxide in your breath aides in their metabolism....it says i can start them now but keep them warm and kozy...to start them in a 2 litre coke bottle....any suggestions or opinions????

 o.k. ponder family i  have been at my sisters since friday nite babysitting my neice and nephew ...2 and 6....she lives in this gated community with a gorgeous home and neighborhood lake and swimming pool ...my bro in law and her went camping...i hate to say it but i'm so jealous of this nice place,i am sick of being single since my husband died 7 yrs ago.i am gonna be 49 next week so men aren't knocking my door down anymore.i don't know how to meet anyone these days and don't want to do it on these dating sites..i have no life except for my pond and backyard..lord i suck...any suggestions??? i am feeling a lil blue i guess and green..  lorraine

CAN SOMEONE SHOW ME STEP BY STEP DUMMY'S VERSION OF MAKING A FILTER WITH MEDIA TO GO OUTSIDE THE POND??? IS THERE SUCH THING AS ONE WITH A PUMP??? I AM KINDA SICK OF PULLING OUT THE ONE EVERY OTHER DAY THATS IN THE POND TO HALFWAY PUT ALL THE GUNK BACK IN THE POND WHILE FIGHTING TO GET IT OUT TO CLEAN IT WITH THE HOSE ,NOT TO MENTION A FORTUNE IN POND MEDIA....LORRAINE

the heat here is horrible,i am an outside gal and i haven't been able to withstand this heatwave....my pond looks horrible because i can't get out there to change filter media...even when i do the heat grows the algae quick...i am purchasing 2 new stronger pumps in a week or so that will help. i broke down the waterfall altogether because i'm sick of fighting the green...i was thinking of putting on the side a large pot with water flowing out of it.will be easier to deal with...the temp has been in the high 90's for 2 weeks with no rain so the heat index has been 105 and the humidity is gross.my garden is just about ruined.i water every evening but by 2:00 they are drooping...  anyhoo the fish are fine and growing and eating like pigs so thats all i care about right now....i guess i just had to vent...thanks for listening troops....  lorraine

hi everyone i need a waterfall pump and a pump with fountain attachments for a 1100 gallon pond.anyone know good ones that won't break the bank?? and i need a uv ..mine crapped out after one summer.i had 3 replacements of this biofilter within one summer....will never get another from this company...lorraine

i have water lettuce for trade...let me know....lorraine oh and 2 water lily's i separated mne this year and ended up with 6.    trade them for terrestrial plants...some hibiscus if possible..they are white with yellow inside,reminds me of a fried egg.... i also have babies of this plant.not sure what its called.

o.k. i woke up to a different place,i opened the door to let the dog out and it was snowing and actually sticking to the ground,,,,it was unbelievable,i know to people who see this every winter its nothing big but us southerns really freaked out,adults were instantly in great moods and the kids had never seen it before,my son who is 19 had never seen it snow here,i will post pics tomorrow,i tell you its not suppose to do this in louisiana....there are snowmen everywhere.....WHAT A GREAT CHRISTMAS PRESENT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    it was so cool seeing everyone happy ...   lorraine

i did the watering can fountain and i put a medium pump to it and it won't fill....do u think the pump has crapped out on me? or do i need a bigger one....has anyone else done this project?? lorraine
