I've been getting singles for years as I've done the bonsai thing in a small space. Looking forward to getting a bloom or maybe two up at a time in the new lake.

We have an orchestra of toads pretty much every night from dusk to dawn and then ended up with what looked like thousands of tadpoles....

Well, they're crawling!







P.S. 4.5 tons of flag and chop stone is being delivered tomorrow as well as a yard of gravel for the bog. Oh, and I took Thursday and Friday OFF!

Um, our toads are making noise from dusk to dawn, essentially all summer. We have what seems like thousands of tadpoles...it's the toad kingdom!

Gonnere is typically an early bloomer here, but I haven't seen it yet. I think I shocked everything when repotting this spring.

We built our first in-ground pond in Kansas in the fall of 2001 and ended up moving to Florida one year later. We lived in an apartment, rental house, and finally our first purchased home. By the time we started wrapping up our remodelling projects there, we moved to Texas. Four years later and we finally got this project going. So nearly 10 years after gettin into the hobby and a half dozen container ponds, we are finally getting a pond again! We have definitely put a lot of thought into it.

Un-named smaller hardy yellow

Would like to trade for hardy plants for a new pond. Of particular interest is a good red hardy such as Steven Strawn, James Brydon, Ellisiana, or Atropurpurea. Also interested in various taro and I generally like things that are varigated.

Many thanks for the many kind compliments! Just finished dividing and repotting all of my hardies in the new pond. 4 of the 5 containers are now empty and drying off in the drive way. This little "toad" was helping me put plants in the new pond this afternoon.
