I live in Oklahoma so this surprises me. Well the green and violet stem have been over witnering for a few years now so I left out some Black and imperial taros to see if they would also.

I have not tried that bayer product but I have tried others and been happy with them. In these pics you can see how tall the yellow one is I have my hand above it and its over my head but I like them that way. The climber is really big. I wanted to move my biofalls when we redone the pond but I would not take a chance of hurting that rose at all. the other miniatures are on the side of the stream your left.

Beautiful gander especially the red. We have one left from 10 years ago a coral colored. That was my hobby before I started with ponding.

Mine too.

Mine are mostly growing around the stream on the north side but the yellow is over 6 foot tall and grows on the north side of the stream back by the falls. There is a huge miniature climber that covers the biofalls,

Lawanna kept most of my lilies for me. I went last Monday and got them. A few had buds on them. I have Blink in a 4 inch pot and I think this other one is Panama Pacific and its in a small pot too.

« on: May 16, 2007, 08:16:43 AM »
They are bonnie but submersable pumps are cooled down setting in the water. The motor should not get hot on a sequence pump since its not water cooled.

This is the one I have. I sent someone some lilies and they sent me this.

Thanks guys. I do love this lily. I have to send Bonnie some of it later. I have had it for 2 seasons now I think. Marion sent it to me. I have never repotted it. I have not even fertilized them this year either. I rebuilt dads pond a couple of Months ago and thats where it is. I think this is the first time its had 3 blooms at the same time. It does bloom pretty good though, Its in a kind of small pot a 12 inch hanging basket. I had a few left over from the green house days.

You know Jerry I wonder if it would hurt the pump at all to run dry. Its not water cooled. It has an impeller of some sort to move that water but I wonder if it would hurt it to run dry.

Pond Chat / Re: Can you help maybe I dentify this lily.
« on: May 14, 2007, 03:56:27 PM »
Thanks Sean. I was almost positive it was a Miami Rose since it gets kind of weedy. I pulled about 20 tubers out of that pot. each one has numerous crowns. Well I did take a couple of the tubers to Lawannas with me today and we took the pot of Empress out of the pond that I sent home with her and the leaves did not match. I guess I will know more when the leaves get bigger. I just did not want to pot up tons of trash.

I am almost positive its Miami rose or Albert greenberg. It was left outside over winter. These are a couple of tubers I dug out of that full pot I posted a pic of. There are multuple crowns all over the tuber like Miami Rose does. I hope its not that Impress Goddess thing I am hoping  I got rid of all of them.

I see nothing wrong with that bloom either. I would love to have one like it. I hope someday to start some seedlings like that. All of my seedlings are self pollinated.
