We were doing ok pretending we didn't see or hear each other till she asked my teenage daughter to carry her luggage downstairs to her room.  She's leaving in the morning.  She thinks she's coming back in October, but the room WILL be occupied for sure . . . . silly woman!

To make matters worse, the silly woman is up in my kitchen eating everything she can find.  And she just opened a new bottle of my champagne . . . . didn't ask and didn't offer me any, just opened it and started drinking.

OH My Goodness . . . . DH bought us some avocados the other day and we were waiting on them to get a bit riper . . . bet a hundred dollars she's nabbed one or both!!!

Frogs don't grow from taddies that fast . . . . there is absolutely NO WAY it was a taddie that survived all that.

But, Scott has a great idea there . . . . .

She'll bloom quite late for you . . . I don't know if she's hardy or not.  I've never left mine outside.  Mine had a lovely flower open today and I wish I'd taken a pic to post for you. . . . I love this one.

Oh My!  I just HATE them both and wouldn't allow them to grow in my yard under any circumstances.

(NOT!!!  Just had to say that since I'm sick and tired of saying nice things to other people.)

I've kept both turtles and goldfish in ponds for almost my entire life.  Goldfish don't eat all your plants . . . turtles do and koi will, but goldfish don't.

However, if you are convinced that they are the root of all your problems, then you should definitely find a better home for them.  I wouldn't recommend you getting any more, small or large tho.

I saw them too and they weren't nice.  When I searched on the name they gave, several dozen sites that they'd hacked showed up.  There is also one sight with their name only . . . . it's clearly a mid-east site with lotsa garbage on it.

Glad you guys were so on the ball and took that stuff down quickly.

Sean - do a web search on the word Marokki and you'll see that there are several forums that were hacked by the same people.  This morning when I discovered that the forum was gone and the pictures were there, I did a search and there were about 30 forum sites that they'd hit all at the same time - sites from all over the world in many languages.  Over the course of the day as the sites have been fixed the list has gotten smaller.  Some of the moderators were speculating that they got in thru the software because most of the forums were using the same software - but I don't know if it was this software.

Tink I think what you are talking about is one of her toad lilies . . . . I'll have some seeds later in the fall (probably have last year's seeds already).  I'll post some pics when mine blooms (it's hardy) and send you seeds when they are ripe.  After all, I already owe you.

They are so cute!!!  Of course, if they are eating your plantings I guess it could be an irritation. . . . but I don't have them, so to me, they are very cute!

And I'm glad the skull is plastic and not real . . . . that would really be creepy!!!

It is totally unreasonably to move in for that length of time for any reason.  Guests don't do that.  Lay down the law and put a stop to that.  You're not running a boarding house are you?  On the other hand, I'm sure all of us are happy to know that if we want to go south for the winter we have a place to stay free of charge!  :D

Totally unreasonable?  Absolutely!  But there are some people that I hate to see leave no matter how long they've been my guests.  And others I cringe at the very thought of having in my house for even the briefest periods.  This is a cringer, so even if she was only staying 3 days, it would be a trial for me.

I'm not running a boarding house, but if you come down Bart you have a place to stay . . . . as long as my family don't need the room!  Dad's new-fangled cancer doc is here in Atlanta and there's a good possibility that he and Mom or one or the other will be using the guest room on a regular basis for the next few months . . . . So maybe she's NOT coming back in October after all!!!

Glad to hear that he's recovering reasonably well.  I know how hard this has been for you and for him.  I'm glad that Smokey was able to help someone. . . . think Casey would love that too.  Hold your father near and dear while you can.  Best wishes to you and to him.

but I can't find the cat and its driving me nuts!!!!!!!!

Look at the base of the taro leaves - the ones with the white star on the leaf, just above the parrots feather.

Maddie just looks too happy right there like that!

Is that first one the Black Eyed Susan vine?

My toad lilies are nowhere near ready to bloom yet . . . . can't wait!

And I wish I had buds on any of mine . . . . I'm still waiting!

What is the 4th one?  It's absolutely gorgeous!  And a really great shot of it too!

You really should tell us what they all are . . . . . inquiring minds want to know.  They are lovely!

I kinda figured he wasn't in high school yet . . . . but when I was a kid there weren't nearly as many youth sports opportunities as there are now.  The only football I ever watched was high school.  I guess I would like to go to any football games . . . . there's something special about watching kids play.  My girls won't have that experience because their school doesn't have football.

Nah Kaz . . . . not an issue because we're not quite sure what she is either . . . . she's the most cat-like dog you'll ever meet . . .  she pounces on things like a cat and she hops like a rabbit . . . . . and she jumps in the ponds and swims like her fish . . .

He may be 100% mutt, but he's a darn cute mutt!  I've always loved mutts and never had a purebred anything before we got Casey.  In fact all my animals either came from the pound or were foundlings - and they are mostly the best kinda animals to have!
