I just noticed them this week, maybe after the new forum format came about. What do they mean?

We use Agave sweetener instead of honey. Now I know what the plant looks like :)

I like foxglove too, but cannot plant some b/c of my pets too.

I have a few Peaches N Cream hardy water lily tubers left over from a divide that I'm putting up for trade. They have roots and growing points.
If you are interested and don't have anything to trade with you could have each tuber for $2 plus postage (paypal)

Any extra space in your box I can add Black Magic Taro or Green Taro too.

Below is a picture of the Peaches N Cream bloom.

The lillies are spoken for, Thanks.

165
Well, lets see.....I have Peaches N Cream hardy water lily tubers with growing points and roots on them, Black Magic Taro, Green Taro, and possibly Yellow Queen hardy water lily (not sure if will be plant or tubers until I divide it).

I bought a couple on ebay last year and they never grew for me...they were kinda small and then just disappeared

Thinking of finding it here this year (hopefully). Would like to trade for it.

I've always liked Wanvisa, it reminds me of a Peach or Nectarine. Does it have a scent?

I have a spare stock tank with unknown hardies growing in it and I want to convert the space to tropicals. I do not know the name of the hardies but the colors that I've seen pop up are white and pink.  I do not know which is which in the tank as I only tagged one of them (white) when I followed the bloom.  I got lazy on the rest with tagging.

Does anyone want the plants FREE, just pay for postage? (Paypal preferred)

I can also throw in some floaters like hornwort or some parrot feather.

UPDATE 6/16/12- The plants are currently spoken for pending payment arrangements on the postage. I'll update here again if there are any left after filling current requests. Thanks!

Nice! I don't have too many blooms this year.

I have a couple of un-named white hardy lilies available for trade.  I can throw in some hornwort floaters too in the box.  I'm waiting on repotting them, just in case someone is interested.  I am trying to make room in my pond.

***updated 7/4/2012- They are GONE. Thanks for looking.

Pond Chat / Re: What I got in the mail today
« on: May 14, 2012, 08:23:18 PM »
I got something like that in the mail long before I discovered AP.  They were so small and the roots did not look healthy on my lily and the lotus tuber had a "smell" to it that I never bought from that online store again.  I am glad for this forum.

If it was from a private hobbiest, maybe they are new and do not know what would be considered too small to sell without letting the buyer know of the size?

This is a good thread.  I've had trouble with orchids ever since a co-worker gave me my first one for christmas 2 yrs ago and it died after blooming.  Not to be outdone by a plant I bought a few more on my own and managed to kill them all save for 2.  I was happy to just be able to keep them alive.  After two years one of them finally gave me blooms in February and bloomed for the whole month  @O@

Good luck with your orchid  :)

Im not trying to sound slow is that my pond is an anove gorund one is like a box. But I figure I can put something under them to raised them :)

I use a cement block to raise mine.

Are these hard to grow and get to bloom?  Interesting bloom, its like a petunia inside of another stellate flower  8)

Wow, fascinating additional updates to this thread TurtleMike! Thanks.  Thank you for including the pictures, I recognize the growth rhizome/tuber cluster that you posted as something that happened to one of my tropicals last year when repoting.  I had not seen anything like it before and since I could not seperate the individual lumps I repotted the whole thing.  :D

Ann- sending you a PM with details

Wow, I followed your advice and did a gh for the winter. Hoping to have less casualties this year after the final count.  My floaters became overgrown, unlike your gh which is full of lily pads and flowers! How do you keep things under control in there?  As long as I don't lose any more tubers I am happy.  :)

Okay. Looks like I'm gonna have to get my overalls on and get out to the pond this weekend.  O0
