« on: June 21, 2007, 09:01:55 AM »
I swear something is screwy with the PM's!  It's probably just me tho... Could have sworn I answered you yesterday.  Checked my "sent folder" and didn't see a reply.  Maybe if I answer you here...
We talked about the Queen of Siam, Star of Siam, King of Siam and Laura Frase.  I still have all of those available.  You told me you only wanted the Star of Siam.  I only ship plants on Saturdays.  I get pretty busy during the week with the horses...
If you've made arraingments to get the lilies from Matherfish please let me know, no problem, just let me know.
Please could you use my email address?  tryan4@hawaii.rr.com

Happy Birthday Cindi! What's this about a '62 Falcon?  We restored a '61 for our daughter a few years back.

First picture, plant on the left looks like Primrose Willow.  I'm sure your doggy is a nice doggy... but I think Chows are the only dog I'm scared of.  He sure does look nicely taken care of!  Can't imagine all the brushing!

I got one bloom on my Gloire last year... But it had some babies too, so I potted them up.  Of course I didn't mark the pots, but it's the only hardy I remember putting in that pool. Could be a Hollandia tho... I have several more pots, and once I know for sure what they are I'll mark them.  Then I'll have more to share!
Tammie

223
Yeah!  The "Glorie" is about to bloom?  Remember what I said about that lily - it might be a Glorie or it might be a Hollandia.  Better take pictures!

Hi Dan!
How 'ya doing?
Tammie

Hi Laura!  I don't have any nightbloomers for sale right now.  I think it was Matherfish, another forum member that does.  I can't remember how much he is selling them for, but I do remember thinking it was a very good price!
Tammie

Hi Laura!  None of the lilies I have listed are nightbloomers.  My nightbloomers have been slow this year... they're coming up, but not big enough yet to ship.  Which nightbloomer were you looking for?  I usually have Red Flare, Texas Shell Pink and Wood's White Knight.

Never forget about you Tim!  Been watching your babies, soon, I promise, you'll have them!
Jennie - all of those are tropical.  But I do have a Joey Tomocik, a yellow hardy.   The pickerel is a tropical too.  Don't know how it would do for you, even if you brought it in...
Thanks!

Hi guys!  I've started to make a list of what I have available, waiting for the rain to quit so I can see what's growing in the "top" ponds.
Here's what I have for now:
Parrot Feathers $5 bunch
Imperial Taro $3 per
Violet stem Taro $3 per
Singapore pink Pickerel $5 per
Umbrella palm $3 per
Star of Siam waterlily $15 per
(2) Laura Frase waterlily $20 per
Islamorata waterlily $10 (not huge but flowering)
(1) Pamela waterlily $15
All + shipping.  With the new rates I'm not sure what the shipping will be... But I can usually come pretty close.

Those pads look like hardy lily pads to me...  Don't think that's a tropical, especially a night bloomer.  Pads should be very diffineately "wavy" or like the discription you quoted "scalloped".
sorry.

I do think (maybe I shouldn't do that!) the the triangle pads, "sensor" pads are sensing water temp.

I have Mosaic and parrot feathers... see the PM I sent you.  Forgot to add in the PM that my mosaic isn't huge yet...
Mosaic doesn't ship well - loses alot of it's leaves when you ship it.  But it will come right back if the conditions are right.  It is a heavy feeder, just like lilies, needs to be fed every month.  It also is very finicky about water temp.  If your pond isn't 80*+ it'll go dormant.  Also it must be a very tasty plant, even gold fish will munch on it!  Koi will destroy it!

Jonna - your hardy is the lily with round, smooth around the outer edge of the pad. Under side of the pads are red.  I see, I think 2 tropicals in your "over all" pictures.  They are the lilies whoes pads are wavy around the outer edge of the pads.  And that "mass" in your second to last photo look like tropicals to me too.  The triangle shaped pads are they're "sensor" pads...  Do you have Wood's Blue Goddess, or any nightbloomers?  That's what it looks like to me
