Don't you dare leave!  Yours are some of the posts I look forward to reading in the morning!  Like Mary said "Sit... STAY"!
Do I understand correctly that you got nasty emails from people who thought your posts were offensive?  Gotta tell you, that old saying - consider the source!  I can't imagine having the time to write nasty emails to people... I have to much I have to do during the day, and not enough time to do the things I want to do.  Feel sorry for those people who have nothing better to do then send nasty critical emails to people!
Please Gen, reconsider!

Anyways, I should be about 20 lbs heavier in about 2 weeks!   lol
Seems to me there were more in there then there was suppose to be!

Bonnie kind of hard for me to explain, but here's a picture (hopefully!)  the red dots are the o rings I've replaced, except for the on one the lid of the canister.  But I bet I'll have to replace that one soon too.
Both o rings on the internal chambers, one at the end of the hose, where it goes into the canister and the big canister one. And one of my chambers broke too.

I only use the Pedigree for the wet food.  My dry is Nutro Max mini chunks.  The Pedigree wet does have wheat gluten in it...

Lee I had the same thing happen as you did.  I would use a can of Alpo to make gravy for the dogs dry food.  I have 9 dogs, everybody would get a little "gravy".  I have 6 Chihuahuas, 1 Rotten-weiler, 1 Ucky dog, and then there's Bruno.  All of them quit eating, except for their dinner, and not eating that well - none of them were interested in breakfast.  So I switched food, started using Pedigree, with a can of Alpo in there when the feed store was out of Pedigree.  Funny that I've had a very sick Rotten-weiler for about a month now... You'd think tho if it was the food the little dogs would be sick first...  We've wormed the Rottie twice, thinking she got hooks from the feral cats, nope.  Had fecal tests done, no worms.  Vet thought maybe Giardia, even tho stool sample didn't show anything.  Five days of medication, 2 days later she is feeling better, but still very watery stools.  Think it's time for some blood work.  Rottie is getting up there in age, she's 8-1/2 now.  I've checked the websites and Pedigree hasn't been recalled - yet.  I went to the feed store the other day to get more wet food, and ALL of the cans have been taken off of the shelves!  Not a single can left.  Think I'm going to go back to making my own chicken "gruel" for the dogs.

That guy is full of beans!  I have 9 ponds that are lined, either with 45m or 60m EDMP (one that is lined with 6m).  I have 8 vinyl swimming pools that I use for ponds.  ALL have been cleaned with the pondvac 3!  Yes, it will "suck" the liner when you get to the last little icky stuff on the bottom - when all the water is gone.  It does not "suck" the liner when there is still water in the pond!  Even when it "sucks" the 6m liner it hasn't yet put a hole in it.
That guy just doesn't want you to buy one, then he'll be out of a job!
Tip when buying a pondvac 3 - go buy extra o rings!  Nothing worse then being all most done with a job and having to stop because your equiptment broke!  Plus you get funny looks when you're at the store and smell like the creature from the black lagoon!  lol  lol

Debbie, you need to come live here!  No snakes in Hawaii!  We do have 12" centipedes tho... don't see them very often.  I was in Texas one time when a snake chased me and a freind.  Yes it did chase me!  I was not ammused. Nope, don't do snakes!  I'm proud of you for not passing out when you killed the Rattlesnake... I'm sure I would have been able to fly!

P.S. - worms freak me out... don't have a problem with spiders tho.

Pond Chat / Re: Shipping directions
« on: March 21, 2007, 03:58:19 PM »
I have to disagree...  I think the extra water in the ziploc makes the pads rot.  Here's how I ship:
Bareroot the plant, wash off all soil.  Trim off all but about 5 pads.  Dampen a couple of sheets of newspaper, wrap around the roots of the plant.  Squeese out the newspaper.  Put all in a ziploc bag.  Put some kind of cushioning - newspaper, peanuts, etc in the bottom of the box, put in the lily, fill the box with cushioning.  Ship Priority mail, not parcel post.  Off it goes!

Wow on the second one!  Guess that means Teresa will have a blue lily and a pink one?  Yeah for Teresa!

I have one Rotten-weiler named Kaiwi, one "ucky" dog named Ucky and there are 6 Chihuahuas that live in the house.  Don't have any pictures on this computer, I'll have to dig some up!

Sounds like the temps are about the same as here?  We don't often get below 68*, very rare in the high 50*s.  And then it's only in the wee hours of the morning.  I'd bet the electricity and food prices are about the same as it is here.  We pay .18 per kilowatt for electricity. A gallon of milk is over $4.50.  But the house prices are unreal there!  The "average" home here is $650k.
Please keep posting!

We had it tied down at one time.  Don't remember why we untied it.  When I get it out this time it's going somewhere else!
Mike - thanks for the laugh!  I needed it this morning!  I'll let Joe know what you said.
Tim I'm here several times a day, just hate to type.  Usually I just keep my "mouth" shut.
Yes to dogs overturning furniture... the only deck furniture on the deck is a picnic table that take 4 men to move - the big dogs sleep on top of it... Our furniture in the house is "dog proof" too.  Stone and iron dining set and our living room stuff is resin wicker and sunbrella fabric.  Stone floors too.  As doggie freindly as I can make it.  8 dogs in the house...

We had a bit of wind the other night... this has happened one other time.  I'm still trying to figure out how to get it out without damaging the liner.  The last time this happened we used 4 guys and a rope, but we had more room to work in.  Since I put a filter pond next to this pond there isn't any room to work... Hubby said I could borrow his wrench and take it apart in the pond and then he'd have somebody help me lift the pieces out... Gee thanks, honey.

Doesn't surprise me... Nevada and Washington states regularly try to recruit our officers here.  After my husband retired (from Honolulu Police Dept) recruiters from Washington were calling, asking him to sign on with them.  Seems they didn't have enough "senior" officers.
If I remember correctly academy training is 13 months here.  And that comes after all the physicals, intell, and pyscoligical (spelling there?) testing.

I'm stunned, I don't know what to say... Except to say there is no way I could deal with that!  I'm cold if the temp drops below 73*!
How come your swings and wooden stuff don't rot?  Here a wood swing wouldn't last...  And your poor doggies!

Are you talking about red sealing wax palms?  I've been told dividing them will kill them... I can confirm that.  I think I've killed 3 or 4 of them...  to much water, not enough water... bah!
