The UV light is great for green water (suspended alage) but the UV won't do anything for string alage or blanket alage. The alage has to pass thru the UV filter to be cleaned.

I have used the AqSafe pond tabs but the 10/20/10 ones with nice results. Thats a great price but min order is $100. Any comments about 10/20/10 Vs 10/26/10 and also the 5 gram tabs vs the 21 gram ones?

I have GPS on my cell phone and like it very much. The nice part of having it on your cell is it is always with you. The down side is it eats up battries when the GPS is on.

I have had very good results geting rid of string algae using Hydrogen peroxide . About a quart per 1000 galons seems to work well and it's very inexpensive. Try removing all you can by hand before treating. A toilet brush hose clamped to a dowel works great for manual removal.
