Sheila you usually don't have to buy new hardware, just update the drivers.
Sean, I'm not using the old hard drive.  I made a backup of the hardrive onto a external hard drive.  Loaded all my programs into the new hard drive, then transfered the data I wanted.  The problem seems to be that the IE and outlook  are "read only" files.  I've "un clicked" all of the folders, making them not read only.  But every one of them change back to read only!   &-).  If I could figure that out I'd be able to transfer them.  Today I'm going to hook up a data transfer cable from the new computer to the old one and use windows transfer.  I'm hoping that using the windows transfer will allow me to transfer just what I want, and not everything.

If you walk out that door doesn't all the snow fall down on you?  How do you walk thru that!?  And poor Smokey! The snow looks deep enough that he'd disappear!  How does he get outside to do his duties?
I'm complaining cuz it's been in the low 60's...

Hi Marilyn!  :) Sure am glad to hear from you, you've been missed!

Heh!  My mom worked for Walt Disney, as his bookeeper in the early '60s! He had dinner at our house a bunch of times!  And -  I've had Sean and Mike over to my house for lunch!  So that gives me credibility too, right  ::)  {:-P;;
Okay, enough.

Yep, I agree Tim, I'm gonna wait to load in Vista.  On the news yesterday they were saying that your Ipod won't sinc with Vista.  Saying it will take a few weeks before Apple has a fix.

Now can anyone tell me where my old emails and address book went?

Esther, the easiest way to explain the "drooling" is to say that the horse is "playing" with the bit, he's accepting the bit and is comfortable with it.  It's a good thing - for horse and rider.

When it's done right it sure is pretty!
I'm not a expert...but... I did see a few errors with the grey horse.  By the way I think that mare is incredible!  Let's see, on one of her piroetts (don't mind my spelling!) (piroetts are at the begining, where she looks like she's turning around in place)she didn't come straight out. The bend in one of her half passes was to straight (half pass is when the horse looks like they are going sideways instead of forward)  Her free walk was tight.  She missed her one tempys (look like the horse is skipping) I saw her anticipating the next movement, that's a no-no. Every movement has a score.  The whole idea with a "Kur" is that the music matches the movement of the horse.  I got to say the piaffe that mare does is fantastic!  It is a incredible hard movement for the horse to do!  You'll usually see maybe 6 or 8 strides, some forward stides in piaffe.  The amount of piaffe that mare did is outstanding!  It really wears the horse out.  Fantastic!
Now the black horse... movements were perfectly in time with the music.  He hit every movement.  No errors.  But in comparing the 2 horses I felt the black was "bland".  But only because the grey did such a difficult routine, and with such heart!  At 9 years old she has plenty of time to improve!  My daughter rides one level down- pre st. george.  The grey mare is riding at Grand Pre.

I got a "vista ready" machine.  I have a free upgrade, but I'll wait awhile before I load it in, let them get the bugs out first!

Chit Chat / Re: Barbaro
« on: January 29, 2007, 08:24:00 PM »
I have a feeling that the 2 new screws that were just put in his previously broken leg shaddered the bone... That's really the only reason I can think of that would cause them to decide now to put him down.  It sounds like Barbaro was in sever pain this morning...  after all these months of him fighting thru all of the troubles... just sounds like the horse "said" enough.
I have no idea what kind of insurance would have been taken on Barbaro.  I do know that I have major medical and mortality on my daughters horse.  When something catastophic happens I'm allowed to call the vet, then the insurance comp.  After the vet talks to the insurance company if the insurance company recommends that the horse be put to sleep, I have a decision to make.  If I decide to go ahead and do surgery, or whatever, I'm financially on my own - the insurance will not cover the surgery, or his death, if God forbid that happens.  My daughters horse - weirdly named Bardo- has had 3 major surgeries, none covered by his insurance, but that's another story...
Esther, I know there were hundreds of thousands of dollars donated to the medical center where Barbaro was.  The sling you've seen him in, when he was coming out of the pool, and the surgical table used, were purchased with those donations.
Rest in peace, Barbaro.  You sure were a fighter!

I think your sister took out a insurance policy on your dad, with only herself as the benificiary, and she will be able to collect on it too, if she meets the quidelines for the policy.  Usually they don't pay out if the policy is under 2 years old.   If her idiot boyfriend knew anything he'd know that your sister can legally obtain a death certificate.
Are they living in one of your parents houses?

They're alive!  And they look better then they did here!
Nope, Pele isn't gonna come get her.  Promise.  Those rocks aren't from the volcanoes.  Well, acually they probably are, since the islands were made by volcanic action... But these rocks aren't anywhere near the active vocanos.
Here's the story on them:
Those rocks came from a very old irrigation flume.  These flumes were built sometime around 1925.  The rocks were part of the actual foundation.  That's why you'll see some chucks of cement still on them.  There's also a huge heiau (ancient Hawaiian "church") above the same area.  I intentionally choose rocks that had cement on them so I was sure I wasn't taking any of the heiau rocks!  Don't need to upset the spirits!

I couldn't find a update at the link you posted...  I heard something on the news this morning.  Something about the vets "taking out damaged tissue".  Did he have a resection?  Did they do something with his leg or his hoof?
Aren't you leaving tonight?

Every time I see Raspberry Sorbet bloom I speak of it!  So, Louis, your first statement is wrong!
Craig, my buddy, my pal.  I had a pool malfunction in the pool that has the Im. you sent me...  I couldn't believe that 4 adult goldfish and 6 babies could survive for I don't know how long, in about 2 cups of water.  The fish survived, but I don't thing the Im. liked it.  I had a few that sprouted, then the "malfuntion".  I think I killed them... >:(-
Could you save this idiot a few tubers too?   o(:-)
