Maryvonne:

Beautiful photos.  I hope you didn't name the fish!  My nemisis  for fish is King Fishers.  The Herons just seem to weed out any fish over 5"  sso they keep the fish load in check!!!

Good luck, I would think Ginger would scare them away.

I have  1 package each of at least 2 tubers for Walter Pagels, Little Sue/Georgia Peach (one of each...don't ask when I divided I mixed up the pots), Leydekeri Lilaca and Perry's Baby Red.

Looking for Coneflowers, Blue Flag or pond tabs.

Greetings I have quite a few tubers from splitting today.  Please let me know ASAP if you are interested.  I'm interested in cone flowers (anything but the common purple), Blue Flag, even a 100 tablet jar of 10-15-10 or 15-15-15 fertilizer will work.

PM me your offer.

Hey Louis,

Still like the BB King shots, but the photos of Billy Cox is great...have I really gotten that old, it seems just like yesterday I was at Filmore East watching the Jimi Hendrix and the Band of Gypseys

Hey Lawana:

I didn't realize you were close to Gary G.  Is he doing okay, I haven't seen any posts lately.

Have a relaxing stay and hopefully the monitoring will give you and your doctors a good understanding of what is going on.

Hey Jessica:

Have to admit the title fooled me and i thought you were starting a frustrating forey into chasing a little ball all over a park setting.  If you need an address there are a few golf courses in the Houston area that we did with over 3000 lilies.

Pictue of the Camelia is a nice one do you know the variety?

LeeAnne,

You could do what Sean does and trim leaves to keep them smaller.  Without a doubt Sean has the highest lily/ft(2) I have ever seen and the dixie cup pots are unique too.  see Hermine to see how it overflows a 24" pot.

Tink:

I still recommend at least a 24" pot since you will want to stick vertical plants to give some height as well as plants that drape such as parrots feather.

Double S what do you have?  I think I'm up to 63 varieties at this point and I continue to weed out ones that just don't perform up to my standards, i.e. Bonnie has volunteered to take Atopurpurta off my hands (Lucida is similar and hands down a better bloomer)

Hi Tink:

Helvola, Walter Pagels, Leydekeri Lilaca and Little Sue have minature flowers (2-4" across), small leaves and a 2-3' spread.  Hermine, Perry's Baby Red have normal sized flowers 3-5" across with a 3.5-4" spread with larger leaves.  Charlie's Choice is in between these two groups.

Helvola is in this picture and this is what I had titled Helvola Gigantica very unusal ( Note Quarter on container).  Normal size flowers are in the background

Hey Bonnie:

You can use jacks with fill to jack up the pond again or above ground ponds are pretty easy to dissassemble and reassemble.  Looks like you have landscape ties with Spikes?

Justme next time you build the above ground use screws or spikes and you won't have troubles.  Nails tend to give way.   The posts in the ground are really to prevent settling similar to Bonnie not really support.  Usually you want to pour footers below the frost level for your area and then use posts to anchor the pond and keep it level.  Note in Miami (no frost level no inground posts were needed and some of the ponds have been at our old nursery since 1982!!

Hey LeeAnne:

I have 2 or three pots so no problem on Little Sue, however, I want to make sure so I can send it in May...okay?  The leaves are similar to Aurora, Little sue and Helvola until they mature.  While I place them alphabetically in the pond for my containers, i just want to make sure.

Hey LeeAnne:

Not much help on the crab cakes, but I sure can boil them up with Old Bay and Beer!!!  I'm just a good consumer when it comes to Crab cakes and there are a lot of places in the area that claim to have the best!

Jerry I didn't realize you were from Philly, what part?

Hey Krista:

Congratulations on the year aniversery...now do you have everything unpacked?  Each move I have made there are always a half dozen boxes I never have unpacted and they kept growing until the last move we donated them to Good Will!!

Jessica:

That's like asking who is your favorite child!!  Don't worry, I'll send a few since I can't make up my mind!!  Send me a PM with your new address.  When I've been in Texas they had a chain of places called Bodacious almost as good as Sonny's.  You know I still have an ash tray I use for odds and ends that says "Stolen From Sonny's Fat Boys", University drive.  Ahh many a post game meal was had there. O0

Hey Jessica:

We have had a strange winter a week ago it was in the 60's and then we went back to freezing weather and the ponds have frozen over again.  Typically I hop in 3rd week in March and start pulling some of them out for dividing.  So  PM me and let me know what you want.

Lawanna:

You need to see Caddyshack so you can identify a groundhog!  They are all over the place here, but fortunately they are territorial and only one will live by your place.

At my folks nursery one had to be careful in the morning since the Pygmie rattlers were warming up on the stones and driveway.  scared the #$%^%^&* out of me a few times.  However, they dart off pretty quick when they hear you coming...led to me getting big heavy boots and I would usually stomp out of the house every morning, to my mom's chagrin, to let the snakes know I was coming.

Hi Jessica:

How's the gator doing in Texas?

I have quite a few minatures Helvola, Little Sue, Hermine, Perry's Baby Red, Charlie's Choice, Walter Pagels, Laydekeri Lilaca and a couple of others i can't remember off the top of my head.  I also have one medium sized hardie you need for your colllection due to the color Perry's Orange Sunset.  Drop me a line of what you want...perhaps we can trade some real Texas bar-B-Que.
