Pond Chat / Lilies (pic)

I never get tired of see lilies ... in the pond or on the computer .... please forgive the ugly pads... I took to pics first, then spend the afternoon cleaning the pond and pruning the pads.. hopeful I will have pic with blooms and no ugly pads tomorrow... I have been trying to get a pic of green smoke that is true to color ... it is not easy to get that deciate green color... and I know I have posted Pink Pearl a couple of times but it likes the camara so much ... the blue is Rhonda Kay ... she looks so proud, with her blooms held so high ..

Glad you mention them.  I looked for those in the store but did not find them.  The post that I read about them said some thing about breaking them apart.  When I looked for them in the store I really did not know what I was look for.  What store do you find them in??

Pond Chat / Ferterlizer tabs

Can any one suggest a place I can order these.  Last year I was buying these at a plant nursey that sold water plants but this year they are saying they are waiting for their order to be shipped.  I am going by there tomorrow to see if they are in stock.  My lilies have been blooming ok but some have stopped blooming.  I think they need a little help.

I was in the pond today pruning the lily pads and looking at what needed to be divided and I found a lily that had a number of pads growing downward.  There were a few pads at the top of the water.  Very strange looking.  Think I should replant this lily??

Kim .... your pond is really coming along great...love the lilies with the combination of other water plants.... could the fifth lily be Dallas ... I have that lily and it just bloomed for me .. kind of look like that

I had 4 new lilies bloom this week end.. sad to say I did not get a pic of all of them.. with the weather some closed up before I expected .... the new lilies that bloomed were red spider, Dallas, green smoke and Ostara  ... the first one is the first pic of Albert Greenburg the the next are of Dallas and Green smoke

OH, above the coneflowers, yes.... that is a plant I have never heard of either... which would be a lot of things.... but I bought that this year at the local master garners sale as a morning glory tree .... now I have had morning glorys but as a tree ??? thought it was unusal....

  I have Peach Blow that I am about to divide.  If you look at the post in  Aquatic and Terrestrial Plant Exchange > Have to trade: posted by jclements I posted a couple of pic of the lily I have.  This will be a full size blooming lily.

 Julles, yes the pink flowers on the tall stalks with a number of blooms are hollyhocks.

Mikey, hummm, I know the name ... but I can not spell it... it is a vine with a name like Gloria.... that is the best I can do tonight...

Yes, that is a must have lily ....I managed to get one of those early in my ponding expericence ...  I don't remenber when it usually flowers but I only have pads no buds yet... seems they should be up already .... looking forward to it though ...

Yes, Bonnie ....  it has been blooming for at least a week or more.... and one of the hibiscus in the pond has a bloom that is half open ... this will be the first time I have had one bloom in the pond.. will get a pic when it happens ... you need to move down to Louisiana for earlier blooms...

Thanks ya'll .... it is so very relaxing that I hate to go to work in the morning ... love to have all ya'll come, visit and sit a spell

I will try to sent you the rain ... it rained most of the night just as hard as it could and it has rained most of the day on and off with different intensty .... we have had more rain this past month than usually.... good for the flowers and good for the grass .. the grass is growing like weeds.. hummmm

Hey, Kat    I got the OSTARA you shipped me today... I put it in the pond a couple of mintues ago ... great looking plant.. it was dark out but it looked to me there were 4 buds on it .. can't wait till they bloom ..... thanks again

 miguynmkoi, no that is not how the pot normally sets..    I was moving the lily from the upper pond to the lower pond ... thought it looked interesting setting up like that
