I believe as long as the roots are intact with the crown it is fine.  Everyone is always saying hardies are difficult to disturb, but I know how to make the impossible happen.

Very nice.  You really know how to take great pictures.  It also helps to have such wonderful lilies to capture.

Brenda!!  I'm hooked on tropicals like crack.  I'm joking.  I have bought some since then.  Thanks again for helping me get started.  I guess we take rocks for granted here in the dessert.

I checked what a Rhonda Kay looks like and this is not a Rhonda Kay.  It does match with the Rose Marie.   @O@ Thanks for pointing that out to me.

Thank you all for the compliments.

Joyce- That would be funny to see

Kat- It is in its second day.  I received it as a gift along with other starters from Brenda.  Maybe it got mixed up.  That would be great if it is a Rose Marie.  I don't have one.  I guess now I do.

greenthumbnails- Here in AZ there are many material supply vendors.  I pulled up in my truck and had them dump a ton in.  I was soooo worried about my back window.  They loaded the rocks without any harm and I went back for more.  The rock is called Arizona Blonde (rip rap size).

As far as water lilies, I remove the pads no matter how young the plant may be.  You'll get more leaves in a week or two.

My pond never looked so full.  I'm happy with the water clarity and the wonderful blooms.  Everything seems to be budding and blooming.  @O@  My water lettuce is stretching all over.  Here a few pics.  The second is my first Rhonda Kay.  Third is the almight bloomer Attraction (bought at Wal.. last year on clearance).

That's a long time to have pea soup water.  I had the same problem, but my pond would clear up when the temps where cool.  You really need some floaters and more coverage.  The uv clarifier will eventually do the job.  There are many threads here on water clarity.  Go to the home page and click on Pond Water Clarity.  There are many tips there.  Good luck.

Your lilies are wonderful.  I don't know what it is with pink that I'm so crazy about.  I have different color water lilies, but when I get a pink, I'm drawn to it like fire.

Very nice, Rick.  In the first pic, it appears to be 2 ponds.  Do they share the same filtration?  Do you have a pic of your waterfall?  I always enjoy looking at other people's waterfall.  It get my kicks that way.   :D

Thanks for the clarification, Cath.

GROCERIES TOO!!??!!  My father in law told me something about that.  A friend of his was going to give him meat that was about to be disposed.  My father in law refused.  He thought it might have gotten his friend in trouble.  I thought dumpster diving was just a gimmick.  It's no joke.
