Now listen up guys, in my original post, i said, "political affiliation aside" and i meant it. this post was meant to show photos of my assignment and not to kindle ugly remarks. i will think twice in the future about sharing photos that might not be to everybody's liking.  we at the Palace Theater are thrilled that the national dem. committee considered out facility and we only had three days to pull this together.  Our grunts that run the stage and the hundreds of volunteers that worked that night have various backgrounds and political ideas, however they were all left at the door and everyone pulled together to make this thing happen. We were very proud of the result.

steve and others. i am the house photographer for the palace theater in waterbury, connecticut. we were given three day notice that the rally would be at our theater. the democratic national committee asked the palace if they had a photog and that be me...i really had the run of the place. although with my big mouth, i did get into a couple of snits with the SS.

Steve, i was using an older canon slr, the D-30 that has been converted to IR and the canon 16 - 35 L lens.

This is the lake i live on and this is the view from my front porch, normally in color. 

this image was taken with a camera converted to take infrared photos. its a little surreal, but i kinda like fooling around with IR.

thanks on the article. you might want to try a polarizing filter for your digital camera. make sure you get one called a "circular polarizer"

I had the good fortune to be former President Clinton's photographer for a massive fund raiser in waterbury, connecticut a short time ago. Political affiliations aside, this was a monumental event for our newly restored Palace theater.

my impressions:

he is smooth, wonderful personality and most cordial to everyone. he dresses to the nines and could be on the cover of GC. i chatted with him all day and i must say that i am impressed. here are a few of the 500 shots that i took that day.

yup, its the second one. on your polarizer there is a white dot or a little pin sticking out. to get the best effect, take the photo 90 degrees to the sun and point the white dot or pin to the sun.

Lets see, who has been a pain in the a** lately. before we blame an outside person, we should look within.

this is a sh*tty thing to do to a nice group of people.  i had to re-register also. one thing, this is much faster.
