« on: July 20, 2007, 10:31:32 PM »
I'm sorry, Murky.   :(  We had a bad hailstorm a few years ago that shredded every plant in my pond...and garden.  I'm really glad it didn't break your greenhouse, tho.

He's beautiful!!!   o(:-) o(:-)

I love the shiny coat Yorkies have.  I didn't know they didn't shed.   Man, that would be nice.   ;)

That's a really cute picture, Jennie!   @O@

Sniff...now I miss my two RES that escaped this spring (excess rain overflowed their tub).   :'(

Do you filter their water in the pond, or just change it often?  I should have built a little pond like that for my RES's, but never did.

So how the heck do they make their fried foods not taste greasy????    ?)(?

I don't eat fried foods much either...I hate greasy food.   :P

It sounds like you had a good time, LeeAnne.  I would write to that hotel, too.  Good grief, if it's supposed to be a Hilton, they should at least keep it clean.

Tinkster, I really love those.   8-)~   I like them even better than the birdbaths made of leaves and concrete.  If you do make one, please show us a pic of it.

I doubt if I'm close to you.  I really need to grow some elephant ears next year to try one of my own.   ;)

And how in the he** did they build that walkway in China???   Was there any information on how they did it?

Sorry this one didn't work, Louis.   :(

Thanks for "splaining," Jerry!  I guess it wasn't all that bad after all.    ;)

I was partly right, tho, it was a regional thing...around here they're usually called boobs.   ;D

The title of your thread floored me at first.  think about it.  Or am I the only pervert here?

You lost me, Jerry!   :-\

Would someone (preferably female) please PM me and tell me what is wierd/perverted/whatever about that phrase.  Either I'm too old, too prudish, or in the wrong part of the country to know what's wrong with it.    :-\

Chit Chat / Re: Does anyone know a treatment for
« on: July 10, 2007, 11:01:47 PM »
I use Benadryl gel for all itches.  It works better than most other anti-itch medicines and it isn't greasy and won't stain your clothes.   O0

It wouldn't hurt to take a Benadryl capsule as well.  Good Luck!

I guess I've been around too many grandbabies.  I looked at the picture and saw the baby rattle right away and thought, "Oh, that's funny!"  lol lol lol

Good one, Blind 'Too!!!   ;D

That's horrible, but it has happened before...several years ago.  I thought they were supposed to have all the drains in kiddy pools fixed so that it couldn't happen again.  :'(

LeeAnne, your ponds and gardens look gorgeous, as usual.   @O@

Johns, thank you so much for posting the great pictures.   O0

LeeAnne, does that Blue Star Creeper bloom all summer?   It's really pretty!   :)

Nice pic, Krista!  I really like the natural colored twins on the black and white background.  Neat!   O0

They've really grown.  I think the last time I saw pictures of them, they were about a year old.  (OK, so I haven't been here for a while.)   {:-P;;

Chit Chat / Re: Just testing my new camera
« on: July 04, 2007, 03:04:58 PM »
I do have one question now for you Cindi and for other digital camera users out there (practically everybody in the world except me  ;D).  My camera is set to take Large pictures which come out over 1 MB...not too practical.  If I set it to take the Med-1, Med-2, or Small pictures, willl I lose picture quality by lowering the resolution???

Cindi, what do you have yours set on?

As you can tell, I'm very new to this.  ::)

Oh thank God, Cindi!   Yes, I do have questions and I'm thrilled @O@ that you have an S2.  I think there is very little difference between the two cameras except mine is newer.  I'll be PMing you in the next few days.  Right now I have to clean house and get ready for July 4th celebrations.

Thank you so much for the link to the forum, too.  I'll be visiting.  :)

Viv, yes he is over 11 years old.  He's a Min Pin.  If you look close you can see some grey in the black on his head.  He used to be a solid, shiny black there.  He's now on special diet food (no sodium) because he has a small heart murmur.

Great picture of you, Bullfrog.   :)

Thanks, everyone for the congrats.  I'll be testing more pictures soon.   @O@

Thanks, LeeAnne!   I am really more thrilled that you can see his whiskers and the fact that he is greying (he's 11 years old), and you can see the fraying on the old bathrobe.  My new camera and zoom works pretty well, I think.   @O@ @O@ @O@  Oops, sorry!  I'm just excited about finally getting a digital camera.   ;D

Chit Chat / Just testing my new camera
« on: July 03, 2007, 11:48:55 PM »
This (I hope) is a picture of my DH's dog, Chacho.  It was taken from about 12 feet away with my new Canon Powershot S3 IS, with 12x zoom.  I had to do some editing with the software because the original picture was 1.4 MB, and it couldn't be used on the forum.   He is lying on his lambskin type bed with an old bathrobe covering him (because his usual blankie was in the wash somewhere  :P ).

Like I said, I'm just testing to see how the pic comes out.  :)

Chit Chat / Re: Another round of Chemo for Braeden
« on: July 03, 2007, 10:28:10 PM »
I'm glad he's doing better this time, Esther.   Your stories remind me so much of MDBB (my grandson, Braden) when he was that age.  He used to call me "Gamma" and always had a big smile for me.  Two year olds are sooooo precious.   o(:-)

I pray Your Darling Baby Boy tolerates the rest of the treatments well and recovers completely.

Debbie, I'll pray for your healing.  I think it just takes more time than you have had so far...for that first callous/scab.  All you can do right now is get through each day and know that it will be better eventually.  I'm glad your co-workers were supportive and you know you have our hugs and support.    o(:-)

As Esther said originally, "Hang in there."

Oh, I love the clam shells.  You could make a great little waterfall/fountain out of that.   @O@

It sounds like you found some great buys, tinkster.  :)
