We took a drive last weekend to a spiritually healing area nearby called Wizard Wells. I've been going through some distress at work and needed to clear my mind. While we were on the way there we drove past a large mud pond just filled with giant American Lotus. I just love the teal color of the pads.

Good luck with fighting off the heron and snapper. Not sure which one is more of a threat to your fishes though, it sounds like they are equally damaging.

This is my Golden Phoenix that I got recently from Tinkster! So beautiful!  The containers are ugly but they are the only watertight containers that I have. That is Baby Doll in the background.





Some other blooms from my containers. I cannot wait for the cooler temps of fall so that we can dig the pond!

We only got to 103 on Thursday and today we are forecast ed for 98    So much nicer than last summer!

She is beautiful!  I am thrilled to grow one too! The blooms are so pretty but I also love the way lotus leaves are shaped and the way water pools in them, one of Mother Nature's finer creations
