Ok, well, I decided I needed to do something, so I planted them all up in cups for now.  Put them in the only room that gets a descent amount of light during the day.  Hope they will be ok.  Some were starting to get a little soft on the greens.  From now on, I will know not to buy them so early, even if temptation is killing me!  Thanks Jerry and SueTX for the advice!

Ok thanks!  Guess I need to get them planted in something temporarily and find somewhere to put them.  Don't want to kill them and waste all that money!

Thanks Sue,

I thought about that, only problem is that I only have two windows on the South side of the house, main bedroom and masterbath.  No room to put anything in front of windows the way the rooms are.

The way my house sits and with tall trees on the North and East sides (basically all around) and covered porch on the front (West) I hardly get any light in my house, really not good growing conditions for plants.  The second bedroom is where I am keeping my plants that I usually have on my deck (faces East) and they aren't doing so well.

So, as much as I would love to temporarily plant them, I don't think that's an option right now.  Do you think they will be ok if just left in the bags?

Ok, I bought some of those packaged plants from Lowe's and Big Lot's a couple weeks ago, bleeding hearts, lily of the valley, hostas, lady ferns & columbines.  They have all started sprouting, growing leaves, etc.  I think it's still to early to get them planted, what should I do with them in the meantime, don't know how long they will last in the plastic bags I bought them in.  I normally would'nt buy so early, but got Spring fever!  Anyone?

I'm right there with you both.  Wandered around my yard today, 70 at one point, maybe even a little higher.  Took remainder of Christmas lights down, and what did I see, some tulip buds poking through, not to mention several other bulbs that were already in the yard when we bought the house.  Grilled some brats, did some raking, and burning, and enjoyed the sun and warmth!  It's wonderful!  I hope it last's but not getting too carried away yet! Spring is just around the corner!

I laughed so hard, I cried!

Thought I would share it.

IT CAN BE HARD KEEPING A STRAIGHT FACE AS A COURT REPORTER
These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place.

ATTORNEY: What was the first thing your husband said to you that morning?
WITNESS:     He said , 'Where am I, Cathy?'
ATTORNEY:  And why did that upset you?
WITNESS:     My name is Susan!

ATTORNEY:  You do?
WITNESS:     Yes, voodoo.

ATTORNEY:  Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning?
WITNESS:  Did you actually pass the bar exam?

ATTORNEY:  The youngest son, the 20-year-old, how old is he?
WITNESS:      He's 20, much like your IQ.
___________________________________________

ATTORNEY:  Were you present when your picture was taken?
WITNESS:     Are you shitting me?
_________________________________________

ATTORNEY:  So the date of conception (of the baby) was August 8th?
WITNESS:     Yes.
ATTORNEY:  And what were you doing at that time?
WITNESS:     Getting laid.

ATTORNEY:  She had three children, right?
WITNESS:     Yes.
ATTORNEY:  How many were boys?

ATTORNEY:  How was your first marriage terminated?
WITNESS:     By death.
ATTORNEY:  And by whose death was it terminated?
WITNESS:     Take a guess.
____________________________________________

ATTORNEY:  Can you describe the individual?
WITNESS:     He was about medium height and had a beard.

_________________________________________

ATTORNEY:  ALL your responses MUST be oral, OK? What school did you go to?
WITNESS:     Oral ...
_________________________________________

ATTORNEY:  Do you recall the time that you examined the body?
WITNESS:     The autopsy started around 8:30 PM.
ATTORNEY:  And Mr. Denton was dead at the time?
WITNESS:     If not, he was by the time I finished.
____________________________________________

ATTORNEY:  Are you qualified to give a urine sample?
WITNESS:     Are you qualified to ask that question?
______________________________________

And last:

ATTORNEY:  Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse?
WITNESS:     No.
ATTORNEY:  Did you check for blood pressure?
WITNESS:     No.
ATTORNEY:  Did you check for breathing?
WITNESS:     No.
ATTORNEY:  So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy?
WITNESS:     No.
ATTORNEY:  How can you be so sure, Doctor?
WITNESS:     Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.
ATTORNEY:  I see, but could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless?
WITNESS:     Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law.

Karen,

That's not the one.  I'm trying to search for it, but I can't find it.  I've only seen it a few times now, guessing it's a newer one.  If I ever find it, I will post it.

Good luck with the knees Jerry and a speedy recovery!

Like I said in chat last night Scott, bought it at Wally World couple years ago on clearance for $30, was $65.  The brand is Holiday Time.  I haven't noticed any there since though.  I did notice one at Lowe's and Home Depot this year, they had both wired and wireless, Mr. Christams brand, they were around $180 I beleive.

Merry Christmas to you and Sarah!
