The koi are halfway out of the water looking for some goodies.  I like how everything filled out.  You're mom looks very happy and seems to enjoy her son's work.  Great job as always, Carlos.

I rebuilt my pond this past winter.  The first time I built it, I tried making it out of concrete.  If I would have known, I would have just used a liner from the beginning.  Oh well.  So I had to break through all that cement to build the new one.  That was a pain in the rear.  Now, it is wider with shelves and deeper.  Did it in record time.  I hired help, but I had to fire him for dancing and goofing on the job.  Finally, I have lilies blooming and things are looking good (except for the water clarity).  Here's what it looks like now.  Before and after.

Since the weather here is warm 8 months out of the year, I go with tropicals.  I keep to hardies.  A white odorata, which was my first lily and a Mayla (my favorite hardy).

Lots of my plant toasted around my pond.  Bird of paradise, taro, and some other tropical plant are all doomed.  I need to take pics.  Looking great, as always, Tink.

For some reason, I expected to see a picture of a snake.  People surprise me with ugly snakes.  eeek
