Kat...a very late THANK YOU!!! for the beautiful lillies!  They arrived very healthy and just growing like crazy!!  The bonus plant..I'm not sure what it is so I stuck it into my gravel/sand filter.  Appears to be off to a slow start...should I have it in just soil?  The Hollyhock seeds...I planted about half of them and 100% are up and growing!

As always...a pleasure shopping with you!!  Deborah

Phil,
I got mine last Thursday and although the box looked fine and you packed it like a champion..the tuber was broken and 2 points broken.  Have planted it and hope the 2 larger points left will make it.  Thanks for the great offer!

9
Oh...how pretty Vickie!!  Will it tolerate moving water and what source for the seeds?  Would love to grow this in my
Squirrel Salad Buffet...that would be the half whiskey barrel used to filter my little no goldfish...Goldfish pond.

I have umbrella palm, dwarf cat's tail (has never bloomed so I'm not sure but have plenty),
Rudbeckia maxima (Black-Eyed Susan), horsetail rush (very invasive here grown in pot and wintered inside), common bulrush, Thalia,  Yerba Mansa - Anemopsis californica.

On your offers...I have coffee cup but the others interest me.

Kathy, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.  The service sounded wonderful...Monday evening I saw something reflecting light in the northern sky...might have been one of you balloons!!!  A very loving tribute to a very loved man.
Deb

Know I've been away for a while, but visited the site today and saw this thread.  Had to post, because I truly did wonder what I was seeing Monday evening.

Really beautiful doesn't do your garden justice!!!!  My lilies bloomed last week, but lotus have just about lost all their leaves.  I'm south of you..I-40 east of OKC.

Mikey, I have a cassia but for some reason it hasn't set buds yet...it usually sets buds then blooms after I bring it in for winter.  It was beautiful last Thanksgiving.

Julles..i'm a texan...but i've never had experience in this matter.  go to the da and see what your rights are.  You SHOULD be able to put a workman's lien against the property.  Good luck, my friend. Deborah

Pond Construction & Filtration / Re: filter ?
« on: September 03, 2010, 12:17:11 PM »
Sounds good...so long as you've got good water movement and not just circulating the same water over/over.  If anything you really should filter the entire pond once an hour.  Hope some else jumps in that has a large pond...mine is small.

Wow glad the incident ended sort of peacefully with no shots and I hope no damage to your liner.  Sorry about your memorial.  Contact your councilman and see if your city has a victims fund that you could file a claim for damages.  To represent you is why he/she got elected!
