Oh, Esther, after reading this post, I went back and checked your previous posts.  (I've been hanging out at an Alzheimers forum because of my DH's dementia.)   

I'm so sorry to read the news that they can do no more for Braeden other than to keep him comfortable.   :'(

You, and the entire family still have my thoughts and prayers...and tears.   :'( :'(  :'(

Esther, Braeden has my prayers, as do you and the rest of his family.  I agree, no child should have to go through this, but I have little to offer except prayers for him.  :'(

Kim, I'm sorry your children (and the other students) were scared.  I think you handled the situation very well with your boys.  I also think the school (with the letter sent to you) and the police handled the situation very well.  I'm so sorry you had this scare, but it does go to show that the schools and the police are being very cautious about such things and not just "blowing it off." 

Again, I'm so sorry you had such a scare.  Isn't it such a PITA that such things have to happen.

He is a cute little guy, Karen.  I take it he doesn't do much damage to your yard (other than wiping out your veggie garden)?  Otherwise, I don't think you would be calling him your little friend or saying that you have had one there for years.   

Do you have cats or dogs outside that might go after him.  I thought they could be pretty dangerous if cornered.  Maybe my info is wrong?   

P.S.  We have a resident opossum that cleans up the overripe, rotting pears and apples that fall on the ground.  I rather appreciate that...so I haven't told the DH.  He might try to get rid of it if he knew. His dementia is much worse now and I don't think I could convince him to leave it in the yard.     I saw the possum on the porch with two of the outdoor kittys and they were totally ignoring it.  I don't think they are in any danger from it.  If I did, I might try to trap it and relocate it.

Annette, if you go to the original website http://3dflags.com/us_states/index.html and click on the flag for your state, you will see an option for large, medium, or small.  I used medium for mine.

Esther, even though I didn't say anything before, I have been following this thread and praying for Braeden (and you and the rest of the family).   

Thanks for the update.  I'm thankful that they think they got all of the cancer, but I'm so sorry that he had to lose a kidney.  :'(   I'll keep praying that he gets through all this successfully.  Hang in there, sweetie.

4. to this extent or degree: thus far."

I hope this helps.  It is usually used in place of "therefore," IMHO.  For instance, "She could not swim, thus she did not want to go to the beach."
