Hell hath no fury...
« on: September 30, 2009, 09:57:21 AM »
PASADENA, Texas (AP) - A Houston-area woman apparently burned up at her former common-law husband fried their pet goldfish and ate some of them.

Pasadena police say it's a civil matter and no charges will be filed. The seven goldfish were purchased together by the couple during happier times.

Police spokesman Vance Mitchell says the man on Saturday reported the woman took the goldfish from his apartment.

Mitchell says the two earlier argued about some jewelry he gave her, then allegedly took back and she wanted the bling returned.

Officers were dispatched to the woman's home, but arrived to find four fried goldfish on a plate. The woman said she already ate the other three.

Well, at least he still has all of his body parts... Such an odd thing to do. But then we see children used as pawns all the time in separation/divorce matters.

I said pawns, not prawns.

Wow!  That is so cruel.  I thought I had a bad experience leaving my first collection of 6" koi with my mother while I went on vacation.  This happened many years ago.  When I came back from vacation my mother told me the pump stopped working and the fish started to float.  She forgot to tell me she wrapped each fish separately and put them in the freezer just in case I didn't believe her.  Scared the crap out of me when I found them, laid out nicely in a row.  :o
