satellite radio invading my car?
« on: December 19, 2006, 08:33:16 PM »
Is it possible for satellite radio from someone's car or home to interfere on my non-satellite car radio? Several times when I'm stopped at a stoplight, another station, usually featuring someone very foul-mouthed, takes over my NPR station. When the light changes and the cars move, my NPR comes back. There are also two spots on my regular commute where I'm moving in the car and a phantom radio station takes over briefly.

I don't understand the physics of satellite radio (and don't need to!). I'm just curious if that's what's happening. Thanks!
