Did anyone see the meteorite display last night/this morning?
« on: December 14, 2009, 12:43:39 PM »
I had learned of a meteorite shower that was to occur late Sunday, early Monday.  Fortunately we had a break in the clouds and about 1AM this morning I sat outside for about 15 minutes gazing into the dark sky.  I saw 5 or 6 shooting stars during that time.

Cool!  I would have been all over that had I known.  It must have been freezing that late!

Even if it was visible from Alabama, I wouldn't have been able to see it through the clouds. :(

If you think that your question is dumb, imagine how totally stupid you will look if you don't ask it.

I did hear about it, but didn't even try to see it, due to:

1.  intense fog

2.  intense big-city lights

I think it continues, to a lesser degree, for another day or two.

Another NIGHT or two, that is.   {:-P;;
