Hi all
« on: May 04, 2010, 09:04:50 AM »
Hello everyone ... found this website last week.

Great info and pictures.

I have had a pond for about 15 years.  12 x 4 kidney shaped - 3 foot at one end - 1 1/2 foot at the other.

I just fixed and cleaned the pond up after 5 years of neglect (Ducks and Blue Heron ate all my fish back then - small 2" fish).  Stocked it with Koi/Goldfish ( 4" - 8" fish) and got her running nice and clear.  I have had frogs living in the pond forever - 3 big ones - not sure what kind - they kind of have leopard spots. About as big as a fist.   Not sure if they are good around the pond or not.

As soon as I get a chance I will take some pictures and looking for any advice/comments.

Tom

Hi Tom and welcome to the board. Your frogs sounds like leopard frogs. If you can get a pic of one, it would help.
Happy ponding,

Thanks for the welcome !

I'm in Maryland, just south of Baltimore.

I'll try to get a few pictures of those frogs, but they are ellusive, when they see me coming, they head for the water.
