I have not entirely given up on the game, but considering I will be buying a Sony PS4 after this season, the lack of cross-progression using Sony is a must really continuing with the seasons. I am not the only one leaving behind past
fortnite items for sale , as whatever rewards I've got mean little if I can not take them .
There are two updates that mean a great deal to some people, one of which I never noticed because my dexterity wasn't as great as the teens wasting me game . That will be the upgrade into the shotgun dynamics, with consistent spread patterns and also the removal of the ability to be able to fire 1 shotgun, quickly switch to another and fire almost instantly. Now there is a delay, however, I was not fast enough to make that move anyway. My brain just doesn't work that fast in-game.
Like Ross being essentially homeless throughout part of the season, the storm circle in Fortnite currently moves around a little as it closes in. It had been hard enough trying to reach that circle with gamers at my back just playing for kills, now it can shift while it shrinks. The center of storm circles 7, 8 and 9 will proceed randomly while it shrinks. While this might function to even the field a little bit, it is still not enough for me to give up the warm and fuzzy 90s nostalgia I get from seeing'Friends'.
All these updates into Fortnite (full list here) are fairly comprehensive and may be sufficient to eventually get me back to the battle. While I'm expecting Sony comes around about the cross-progression, Epic Games is moving forward quickly with improving and refining Fortnite, making something which us casual players just can not ignore.
