Blue comets?
« on: August 10, 2012, 02:44:10 PM »
10 or so years ago I purchased some goldfish (comets) that were sky blue on the back and sides and were light yellow (Almost white) on the head and fins.  I no longer have these fish and was looking for an on-line supplier for them.  Thanks.

They could have been shubunkins.  I say that only because my shubs have the light blue markings and some have a yellow tinged heads and fins.  They can have long or short fins too.

Bob_A:

Hunting Creek Fisheries in MD has (I think even developed) sky blue shubunkins:

I live about an hour from them.  Every 3-4 years I drive down and get some new fish from them.

Very nice family operation, spring-fed ponds, creek runs under their indoor facility keeping fresh water flowing through their concrete holding tanks.

1300 gallon pond - midnight & regular shubunkins/sarassa comets/white comets/rosy red minnows.
