Pay Day Pond Pix...
« on: May 27, 2010, 10:21:58 AM »
I have a few lilies blooming today! Took these on the way to the bank.  ;D
First Lily Pons blossom, a little crunched which is common for first blooms.
She is hosting a few Damsel Flies hatching too.  8)

Joann Pring seems very happy at 30" deep.  ;D

Looking south across the front pond...

Colorado and frog...

Another angle of Colorado...

Awesome pics Joyce.  I love lily pons.  I have one and I get 1 bloom per summer.  I'm hoping for a better show this summer.  Your Joann Pring is gorgeous!!

It's all so very beautiful, Joyce! o(:-)

I have so many damsel flies this year it's amazing.  They keep flying around me, as well as the larger dragon flies - ponding is soooooo much fun, isn't it?!? O0

Joyce is the pond left totally to itself or does your company or you do anything to it? Will you plant more lilies eventually? Didn't you say it was 30' deep? So I guess you might not be planting. So originally, were the lilies planted before it was filled. I think I vaguely remember a liner but then maybe not. Tell us again how that was built because I remember it being dug but then don't remember if there is a pump system at all. Don't think there is, so how does it stay filled?

It must be neat to look out your office window and see such beauty all the time. You are lucky. But come to think of it, even if there wasn't beauty around you, you would probably figure out a way to bring it in.
