Do you know what the tiny white blossom is to the left of the yellow one?

Your pond is really filling in.  What do you have in the deep end?
By any chance do you know if water hyacinth is native to Mexico?  I am trying to figure out where it comes from.

My next female cat will be called "Whata Lily"!

I don't know if water hyacinths is native but lots of lakes down here have it. Maybe they were brought as well.
The white small blossom is from dauben a tropical water lily the only trop I have.
Thanks y'all for the comments.

VERY nice!  Everything looks so healthy! O0

I am wondering why my parrots feather doesn't look as "feathery" as everyone else's?  I only have about an inch of green sticking up from the water and it's pretty closed up - healthy but tight.  Could it be a different type - mine is the red stemmed.

I love the yellow on yellow look !  o(:-)  I still only have white lilly's, still waiting for my other 2 new additions to the pond to bud (yellow and magenta).

Lynne, my red stemmed looks the same.  8)
I think we need to warm up even more (it's 90* here today maybe that'll do it)
to get it to fluff up and grow a bit.  8)

My parrots feather grows like a weed...
That is all I left in there because it was almost smothering the other plants..
I have two containers full of them, will post pics maybe this weekend.
I have been looking for water hyacinth though and no luck, and the lakes I was talking about are not close to where I live...

Is there a shortage on water hyacinths this year?  The first nursery I went to - they were all fried - awful looking!!! :P I asked them what happened to them and they told me that they delivery sat on a tarmac all weekend in the heat. :-\  Said they'd come back just fine - I said no thanks - not for that price. {nono}

Today I went to another nursery that just started a tiny ponding section.  They had the tiniest water hyacinths for $6 each - no thanks again. {nono}  Last year I went to a place with a friend who lives about 45 minutes north of here.  They had huge ones for $5 each.  I think I'm going to have to take a trip up there again this season. Howell, I meant to ask, are you finally settled in one place now or are you still commuting? Oh, and it is about time you get some pics of your pond on here for this year. ;D

Very pretty.  Parrot feather is just about my favorite pond plant, but it doesn't do well in my pond.

Jerry it's looks good as usual. Those plant boxes on the spillway are going to do the trick.

That's a shocker Scott, Water Hyacinths will not survive in AL? Why? They love hot weather.
I thought they were banned because they spread like wildfire since you rarely have freezes.

Water Hyacinth kept dying on me until I realized it had to be in the shade down here.  It's now behind and under some giant papyrus and it is alive and blooming.  I can't keep the other floaters alive though, water lettuce or parrot feather.    I'm learning that when it says a plant can take full sun, they don't really mean it this close to the equator.
