How can I make a pond scissos from PVC pipe that will reach 8 feet away from me? My pond is 20x15. Thanks, A.J.

Buy a pair of tree lopper/ pruners. remove the handles. sand down the ends of 2 closet dowels and insert them into the pruners.

Just saw your question.

Johns has a DIY on how to make it here. I'll see if i can find it, or send him a message. I made one and it works great.

I'm with Eagle Eye. My husband made one for me following Johns instructions and I LOVE it!

If you don't want DIY, Pole Tree Pruner has a rope pull to close the jaws. It also has a small saw on the end which could too easily pierce a liner if accidentally dropped (it can be removed). I've never used mine in pond, but prune small limbs 15' high. (Love this garden tool.)
