knife valve problem

I cannot turn the thing.  I do have a sprained hand and it is tough as well as very awkward to reach.
I assume I am right when I say the TEE handle should be in the same direction as the pipe to open?

I cannot back flush untill I do.

6 to 10 weeks to get hand better, 3 weeks have passed.

Use a wrench to leverage the turn.  Hope your wrist feels better soon.  I sprained my wrist pulling a shopping cart out of the stall at Costco.  Took me almost 3 months to heal!  No fun at all.

It's not my wrist.It is the 2 Fingers and palm on my right hand.  I used a Lat machine and slipped and still went ahead and pulled the weights down with those 2 fingers. Not smart.
Yes to the wrench, but just cant get to it easily and the discomfort impedes me. It hurts!
Maybe in a few more days i can do it.  I don't want to set back the healing process.

I don't have a knive valve, but I thought knife valves were push/pull.  Do you mean knive valve or ball valve Jerry?

Knife Mike. it is stuck and I just can't get to it.  I will soon.  I am improving daily.  Just don't want a set back.

I did some contortions and it is fixed and now back flushed.

Make sure you rest the fingers and maybe some ice pads on and off on the injured area.  Glad you got the valve opened and closed.

I am using heat! Dr. was busy but the Nurse-Practitioner was super. Answerer Qs That I never get a chance to ask the Dr!
