New Family
« on: December 18, 2006, 04:20:50 PM »
This is our new cat . . . . the girls promised my Dad that they would take care of his beloved Cat2.  She isn't really very happy right now, but she has a home and they will love her until she comes around.  She's a purebred Maine Coon - she was supposed to be a breeding female, but it didn't work out.

She is a beauty and I expect she'll be a treasured pet.

1500 gallon pond. Most residents are 11 yrs old. Most are Koi, with one 9 yr old bullhead catfish. Residents took a trip of one hr to their new home. We all moved to this home just over a yr ago. They love their new digs!

With lots of love and patience, hopefully she'll come around.  I've had cats that won't let you touch them, always watching on the edge but never joining in.  Then, all of a sudden, they are right at your feet and will let you pat them, then scratch them, and they start to purr.  They have to know you can be trusted and will watch you with other cats.  She's a calico beauty o(:-)

She's a lovely looking Kitty. I hope she starts to feel comfortable with her new home. The girls must be thrilled to have a new pet.

She found a new hidey hole and seems to be content there.  She does like to have the girls come pet her, and she has come out exploring a few times.  The other cats definitely make her nervous, but they leave her alone when she's hiding.
