Look what I got
« on: December 23, 2006, 02:54:14 PM »

My stepson made this out of cedar. He is Cindi's brother. Cindi, you gonna show 'em your birdhouse? Cindi gave me an electronic temperature sensor. You can rig it up to give a constant pond temp, interior, or exterior air temperature and the present time.

Very pretty!  Wish I could paint like that.  Hubby makes wooden things, but I'm not very good at "prettying" them up :)

Well, when there are many branches of this family tree, we have to squeak in the partying when everyone can come.

1500 gallon pond. Most residents are 11 yrs old. Most are Koi, with one 9 yr old bullhead catfish. Residents took a trip of one hr to their new home. We all moved to this home just over a yr ago. They love their new digs!

He can make a painting of anything he looks at. Once when he was about 10 he had done something that he needed to be disciplined for. I don't remember what. That was rare because he was a very good kid. Anyway, I sat him at the desk in the kitchen for a period of time. So he takes a 3 x 5 card and draws the whole end of the kitchen. He had all the grooves in the cupboard doors, all the pulls and handles, the stove and hood, and everything was in perfect scale to what was really there. So when his sitting time was up, he continues to sit there because he wasn't done drawing. I think the discipline had been lost on him by that time.

Notice that the house's walls and roof were all kinda crooked? I  bet it was harder to make than if it was straight. He wanted it to look that way.  I think he made Cindi a bluebird house for her  birthday last summer if I remember right. He loves to do crafty stuff and works construction. He had brought home a bunch of cedar scraps and is making this stuff out of that.
