A few pics not lilies for Marie and HTH
« on: June 20, 2011, 01:11:16 PM »
There were several of us in Chat last night discussing pond plants other than lilies.   ;D

When we got to water willow, we couldn't decide what the bloom really looked like...so I went out with my camera and tried to get a shot.  I was really surprised.  I hadn't a clue it was that pretty upclose.

A shot of my Mare's Tail.  It is potted up and the water barely covers the dirt.  I much prefer this than parrots feather.  I dropped it down to the bottom on the tank and it survived 10" of ice.

mare's tail then would not be as invasive as anacharis or parrots feather. Like Vickie,
think I like that.  When I googled, the word horsetail kind of scared me off. Evidently
you're have no problems with it. Good.  And going to watch my water willow to see if
I get bloom like yours!! LOL

Here are the pics of the Duck Potato for Marie.

And the bloom.

This is the best Water Willow pic that I can get because of the weed in the same pot with it.

Happy ponding,
