And you got 2 NB blooms at the same time. That's a nice treat  O0  So by "its been 5 yrs since you grew one out", does that mean that during the interim they were just sitting stored somewhere as tubers?  Were they outside all this time ...with the snow and all?
My next female cat will be called "Whata Lily"!

The great deceiver. That is a 'Rose Star ' third day flower that just happened to droop in the middle of 'Arc-en-Ciel'

This is from a little later in the morning.

I just got a white night-bloomer, and LOVE it.  It bloomed just a few days after I brought it home.

A photo from this morning.

I have N. lotus and 'Texas Shell Pink' that are growing in the mulm of my starter pond. I keep pulling most of them up cause they get in the way of my day bloomers. The maringouins are so bad here that viewing a night bloomer caries it's risk. Until this year I had not made any trades since 2007 and the pink night bloomer may have been here before then. The pink one stayed not exactly dormant but the pads did not get larger than an inch. It was in a two inch pot. The small petals were almost black. I put it in a larger pot with lots of fertilizer this year. It's two plants in one pot so two flowers at once. All my lilies stay outside all winter.. We have not had a winter since 1991 that the temp stayed below freezing for 24 consecutive hours.
