4th of july poem from me to you.
« on: July 04, 2011, 07:35:36 PM »
It took me five days to find someone I knew. The blue made me feel warm. I am sure not as warm as the the blood if I met red. I ran for my brother. I tried to find hope. I tried to find a weapon. I tried to cope. I ran for my wife and ran for my children. I ran for our future and then it happened. I came across a flag that had a star. The point of its mast was my destiny. For I empailed my enemy. I stood strong and lived through my sorrow. The bombs were so close. I touched the red. I prevailed through the flag. We live together forever and now colors do not bother me. I just love the ability to see a color and love it for what I see as life. JD
