Wth so many fish chasing and dancing in a mosh pit...
« on: August 08, 2011, 05:39:23 PM »
What will a ryukin and a shub or sarassa off-spring look like?  I'm wondering about the shape.  They both have long fins too.

I the photo below (lower right fish) I have what may be ryunkin/wakin off-springs too.  The reasoning is that the solid large patch of red is only on my (male) wakin and the tummy is larger/rounder than shubs or wakins.  I have at least 10 of this batch of youngins who look similar in shape and color.

The shubs babies look just like shubs/shubs

Anyone have different shapes making whoopie in their ponds?

I have 5 healthy 2+inch babies in my pond!  I think the mom is a long finned Shub- blueish white scales with lots of small black and red dots. Dad could be one of many goldfish(all shapes and sizes).
3 of them have the same markings as mom, but regular tails.
1 is mostly orange with one big black dot on the side, with a long tail.
1 is blackish orange with the longer tail.
