What's with..........
« on: August 13, 2011, 12:24:00 AM »
these wedding photos I have been seeing recently where the bride is wearing a traditional white wedding dress and the groom is casual with slacks and a Hawaiian shirt or some similar looking casual attire?  In one photo I saw the groom was wearing sneakers....

In Hawaii it is very laid back.  I have not seen it here on the mainland.
Here is my cousin and his bride. They live on Maui.  Merritt was born there.
The bottom photo was taken here a few years earlier.
Can you imagine a wedding as Mike describes with the Bride covered in "Tramp Stamps?"

I think they shoulda worn those AP T-shirts to their wedding.   lol

Also noted these days... women in dress atire going bare legged (no stockings), men with dress shirts untucked, and people wearing beach flip-flops everywhere.

I rarely see a woman wearing pantyhose. Many people in my office wear flip flops to work in the summer, even my former boss did. It drives me nuts to listen to it all day.  :D

Where I live now you see very few women wearing hose in the summertime - it's just too hot and humid.  They still wear business attire when appropriate, but not hose.

Its been in the 90 all summer, I can't imagine hose/stockings.

Seems the focus is on the bride so the groom gets to choose what he wears.
