Pond Progress
« on: October 11, 2011, 10:27:34 AM »
Here's a photo of the waterfall when we moved in:

and here's a garden I started on the side of the pond...it goes all the way around now and I just transplanted a japanese maple by the waterfall...I'll take more photos tonight:

My first water lily bloom...not sure what it's called but it's such a pretty bright pink  @O@...I only had maybe 3 blooms total this summer though:

This is after a cleaning and the waterfall was re-stacked:

It was so clean and clear but now it has some good algae growth:

Ditto Sue on the improved waterfall.  Very attractive pond to come with your house.  Welcome!

Welcome to A.P!  The pond looks great, and I like the flat stone falls.  Is water hyacinth legal in Maryland?  You said the garden goes all the way around the pond... can you access the pond to do maintenance?

Yes, WH are legal in MD.  The garden actually goes around 3/4 of the pond.  We have grass where the skimmer is for easy access.
