Google Maps Question
« on: November 18, 2011, 05:30:04 AM »
I started using Google Maps because they seem more accurate and clearer than MapQuest.  But I have two questions:

1.  When I clicked on Google Maps, I used to get a map, meaning, a diagram of streets.  Now it's changed to an arial photo of streets and houses.  I want the diagram back, not the photo.  How can I get the map instead of the photo?

2.  When printed, the map comes out very small, not taking up the whole 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper, like MapQuest does.  That makes it mighty hard to see where I am trying to go.  Any idea how to get the map to print larger?

Thanks

Changing from Satellite to a diagram map - upper right corner on map click Satellite box.  That should change it back to the diagram.

I'm not sure about the printing but it may have to do with your printer settings, my guess.

Hope this helps.  :)

Someone on the 'net had the same question:

After I fiddled for a while, turned out all I had to do was click the "Satellite" button in the upper right hand corner.

Thanks for the coaching.  Would not have figured it out with your suggestion to click that corner.
