Lotus variety with longest blooming season?
« on: March 01, 2012, 07:06:55 AM »
Hello all,
I'm looking for suggestions on a lotus variety that has a long blooming season that extends for most of the growing season. Thanks

Hnmmm,,,I dont' have an answer for you, but I wanted to say "welcome" to the forum.

The weather is just beginnng to warm up, so there will soon be more activity on this page, and someone with lotus expertise will hopefully answer your question.

Welcome to the forum.  Here (in Memphis,Tn.) blooming season is about the same for all  varieties for me.
There is always seemingly one or two that will have a bloom long after the others do. Dairenien is one that has
at least one bloom later.  My blooming seasons starts late June thru early August here.  Lot of bloom time  depends
on you fertilization program.  Here,I quit  fertilizing about mid August.
