$4.05 three days ago and today it was $4.24 per gallon

Three days ago I paid $4.05 per gallon when I filled up the truck and today I paid $4.24 per gallon when I filled up the Honda.

Our gas prices jumped the past few days too and I have a 100 round trip commute to work.  They're saying gas will probably go as high as $5 - $6 a gallon this summer so hang onto your gas tank.  DRILL BABY DRILL!

No matter the cause of the sudden price increase, clearly there is greed and price gauging involved.

Here in Vancouver, we have the highest gas prices in North America. The price of gas here is $1.41 per litre which converts to $5.32 per gallon. That's pretty well a whole dollar more per gallon than LA county. That is why I take transit as much as possible and only drive for long distances and to go shopping.

I try to go cross border every few weeks and gas up as we do save about $0.30 per litre in Washington state. It's a 30 minute drive to Point Roberts and about 40 min to Blaine and just shy of an hour to Bellingham.

   There was a gas war between two stores last week near us.  It finally got down to " 0.40 cents a gallon"  yes forty cents.

The next day it was $3.39.  On the news last night they said to expect a 20 cent incread today.  It didn't happen...YET

Sean: what is the tax you pay per litre?  I believe here we are paying something like 45.5 cents per gallon.

It is so complicated. The so called experts disagree.  They say it will get worse, a lot worse.
The LA Times suggested we buy Mopeds!  I am serious.

So glad we have Priuses, or is that Priui?

   Well so much for the news release.  I paid $3.39 Wednesday and only $3.33 today.

I will continue with my normal wait and see attitude.

Hi Mike,

We pay $0.31 cents per liter which is $1.19 per gallon. They keep adding tax to gas for the transit authority as well in an attempt to get more people to use public transit.
The government is the only way we can get vehicle insurance as well and they really gouge us. ICBC (Insurance Corporation of British Columbia) is four times more expensive than what I was paying in Calgary Alberta when I moved here. It's "Highway Robbery", excuse the pun.

Sean, If you think that you pay high gas taxes, just be glad that you don't ride a bike. BIG fees for that.
Here in Wisconsin, we pay 30.9 cents a gal gas tax.
Today it's 3.73 in town.
