Mouse help please
« on: March 19, 2012, 11:09:29 AM »
My mouse is no longer smooth.  Can it be the pad? What else can I do to make it act as it was?

thanks

Is it a wireless or the 'old' style?

If it is the old style with a roller inside...take the bottom off and wash the roller.  'Gunk' can build up over time and make it hard to roll.

It looked clean, but I did wash and dry the ball.  No change yet. :'(

There are three things inside the mouse that also need to be cleaned with rubbing alcohol to have it work properly. Best bet, get a laser mouse.

I have this one and got one for Mike W as well, it works like a charm and will even work on multiple surfaces. Click on the Amazon link.

The original price of these was over $100.00 so this is a deal at just under $25.00 including free shipping. I highly recommend it!
PS, it is wireless and has a USB dongle to plug in. A full battery charge lasts a few days but I tend to place it back on the charging stand after each use.

Cheers,

I ordered it!!!!
I was always so pleased with my mouse. I have seen others that seem to wander all over. Now mine does.

I have not been a fan of wireless. but this sounds excellent.  in any event it's a hellova lot cheaper then calling in an expert!  Besides, we have one here! O0
thanks!
