Can u take a closer pic of the plant in question I see a juvenile lily pad in top left but need to see other plant better

HOWEVER, it did grow! I have it in a jar and will see what happens. If it roots, we are on to something

It should root fine...they sell it everywhere around here like that for small inside spaces. I have some in a glass jar with colored rocks in the bottom and a little water. It is like a bonsai bamboo in my window. Mine has gone crazy tall and leafy and people can't believe that it's bamboo. I neglect mine and it does fine...
