First a walk through Cherry Lane

Then we get to the Japanese Hill and Pond Garden

This flower was standing so proud and tall I hope this picture is a good representation of it

After a good stretch of the legs we get to the pond gardens. The bad thing is that its too early in the season, the Louts and Lillies have yet to grow and spread their beauty

A little disappointing, but I know of its beauty...

A cool Turtle ramp

Wow, they have a lot of hardies there this year.  When i went there several years back it was later in the season and the lotus were past their prime but their dried seedpods were very impressive.  At the time I had no idea that was what I was looking at but it was cool.  I remember seeing lots of blues and purples water lillies. Maybe they change their stock or add the tropicals a little later?

Wish I could go there again, I really enjoyed their Japanese water garden it was so peaceful that I forgot that it was in the middle of the city until I saw just the top part of a building nearby.
My next female cat will be called "Whata Lily"!

WOW - my parents are both from Brooklyn, yet we never went there.  I'd love to see it someday - do you know when the lotus should be in bloom?

Not sure but I'd wait until late July to early Aug.
