My 12ft x 9ft raised pond
« on: May 29, 2013, 07:55:21 AM »
Here is a picture of my 30 year old pond

During the summer of 2011 I enlarged it, but did not finish it

During the summer of 2012 I filled the pond in and built my current pond. It's 13ft by 9 ft by 3ft deep.

Going into year 3, I just finished the top railing after many months of planning and researching.

This week I will start installing the plants and adding fish, snails and fresh water clams.

My next project is the patio, I have not decided what you do about it yet.

Wow, so the original pond was 30 yrs old.   Things will look so different as you add the plants and any decorations.

I enjoy my above ground ponds.

Your new pond reminds me of my grandmother's pond over fifty years ago. Hers was made of stone - but was about the size of yours. She just had gold fish in her pond. AREN'T PONDS FUN?  Thanks for posting your photos! Happy Ponding!
