I just thin latex paint with water and find it works better than glaze if you are doing a wall treatment. I need to do a yellow granite effect on my big brown wall and will do the same thing.

Here is the effect I am going to do, this is an actual yellow granite wall at the hospital I work at, I loved it so much I intend to duplicate it with paint.

Cheers,
Sean

Something like Sean's wall would take several colors, maybe a gray, and white, and tanny/yellow being the last. I saw them on one of those decorating shows using a wadded up plastic shopping bag to mush up the colors. You could take a large old board or cardboard and practice. What about doing a Google on DIY wall glaze?

OH Hi Staci. I didn't realize you were "that" Staci. I don't think I saw a location on your post.  Louisiana right? I think you have some of my plant babies if I'm right.
